PURE - Ross Tayler and Brad Hodgins

Pure is an old set of notes Brad and I wrote for our first lectures. 

It deals with the principles necessary to deliver convincing "displays of extraordinary skill" - that branch of magic focused on demonstrating apparently real abilities such as memory, mentalism or card cheating. In other words we teach you how to lie. 

Some of the ideas written up here we've reconsidered since, and we'd definitely change the style were we to write it again. However it continues to serve as an illuminating discussion of the theatrical aspects of these demonstrations which so often go unexplored.
